When two people marry, the feeling is one of pleasant thoughts and a lifetime of hope for the future….as it rightfully should be. A simple marriage contract is signed by both parties without ever a real thought about the possibility of divorcing.

It’s not something everyone does - because not everyone has the necessary human qualities to maintain a marriage.

Teens deal with emotional issues much differently than either younger kids or adults, and therefore a divorce affects a teenager differently as well. Holding on and trying to save your marriage means that you are a noble person who doesn’t believe that marriages are “come and go” things, and sees a marriage as a sacred bond between two people which is meant to last until eternity.

There is only one reason behind the “hideous” divorce rate we have nowadays: People no longer have the qualities required by a marriage: selflessness, commitment, loyalty, etc. So I first want to congratulate you for at least fighting to stop your divorce. Marriages aren’t come and go things, at least the way I see it. I believe marriages are holy bonds that are meant to unite two people until eternity.
